Outrun the Sunlight
Outrun The Sunlight is a progressive instrumental metal studio project started by Austin Peters and Cody McCarty in February 2011. The original intention was to experiment with music composition and sound recording, as neither Austin or Cody had any prior recording experience. Equipped with a Presonus guitar interface, Garageband, and a few ideas, the two hashed together their demo EP "Architecture of the Cosmos" which caught the eye of many listeners, blog-sites, Facebook fan pages, and other artists.
Ideamen, from Chicago's south side, are an intense musical experience, best seen live to appreciate. This piano driven act has toured throughout much of the U.S., growing their fan base & putting on a show that turns 1st time spectators into instant fans. Their first two releases, the currently out of print EP "Progress" & "May You Live In Interesting Times" are considered staples in the experimental post rock scene. Their third release & second full length effort "Schemata" will be available worldwide on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014.
Ideamen is DIY; pressing their own merch, acting as their own publicists & recording / mixing their own music.
Ideamen's mission is to give their audience far more than the typical rock show. Ideamen transcends the status quo as they expend every bit of their energy on the stage. The show almost always includes a barrage of balloons & strange mash-ups of cover songs ranging from The Beatles, Radiohead, Mr. Bungle, Pantera & Tori Amos. People seem to love losing themselves in the moment of watching the band perform.
Atonement Theory is Jay Jancetic's "solo" work. Debut EP to be released this spring on IDefy Records. Live performances will also be coming soon.
"Zaius is parts Between the Buried and Me, Scale the Summit, Pelican, but feels just so, intelligent. Not to say the aforementioned bands aren’t intelligent, but Zauis has a knack for textured layering of sounds that create a dynamic, and dramatic soniscape that really falls within the ebb and flow of the waves of their music. On their new EP Divided by Tides, Zaius explore the fractions of humanity through elemental surges of harmony coupled with crashing breakdowns that aren’t of the generic hardcore archetype, but something strongly discordant, yet beautiful and serene." - Robert Dean, MoonRunners Country
