The roots of Rock N Roll are blues and country. Early rock n roll has a real Southern drawl and an amped up energy that got fans, “rockin’ and a’ reelin’ and a’ hangin’ from the ceilin’!” Great guitar slinger riffs, boogie woogie piano, bold stage presence, and a backbeat! Foundational acts like Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Wanda Jackson, Johnny Cash to 70s/80s Revival acts like The Stray Cats, The Cramps, and Social Distortion to Neo Rockabilly and Psychobilly acts like JD McPherson or The Reverend Horton Heat. Pompadours, Cuffed Jeans, Heavy Bangs, Cherries, and Fuzzy Dice! Boss!

Muscle Shoals is a place but also a vibe and a sound that has been sought out in recording for generations. A rural Alabama recording studio that has made some of the biggest records in rock and soul: Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Bob Seger, Cher, Band of Horses, and The Black Keys have all recorded there. Muscle Shoals was a ‘hit factory” but also a warm and welcoming place for making music that embodies warmth itself.

The very best of Led Zeppelin! A long overdue trip back to our roots! Zeppelin are simply the launching point for rock at School of Rock. Enjoy a cross-section of Led Zeppelin hits like, “Rock-N-Roll”, “Trampled Under Foot”. “Immigrant Song” and “Stairway to Heaven”. Led Zeppelin was comprised of four very distinct members who, together, became the catalyst for the heavy, 1970s rock sound. Maybe you’ve heard of them? Robert Plant (vocals). Jimmy Page (guitar). John Paul Jones (bass). John Bonham (drums). This show is, as we like to say, “bangers only”.
